Casa Grande is the largest city in Pinal County with a population of around 55,000 people and the city resides on the southernmost edge of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The town is strategically located between Phoenix and Tucson as a major junction and economic corridor. Casa Grande is a modern city with agricultural origins.
During the late 1800s, Southern Pacific Railroad established a real line that terminated in a settlement that would eventually become Casa Grande. Casa Grande was officially incorporated as a city in 1915 and today it is one of the most economically active areas throughout the entire region.

Casa Grande is located about 45 minutes away from downtown Phoenix and roughly an hour away from Tucson. It resides at the intersection of two major interstates, I-10 and I-8. Although Casa Grande is a rural community, the area is experiencing a great deal of residential and commercial growth. Residents will find everything they need locally without having to travel to Phoenix or Tucson. The stable local economy is due to outstanding medical care, affordable housing, and numerous employment opportunities in the area. Things to do in Casa Grande
Many consider the state of Arizona to be a golfing mecca, and Casa Grande is by and large a golfing community. There are plenty of popular golfing options in the area, including the Dave White Municipal Golf Course and Tierra Grande Golf. Also, on a hot summer day, the perfect place to visit is Palm Island Family Aquatics Park. The swimming area features plenty of slides, fountains, and water jets, and it is an ideal place to host a birthday party for your kids. Also located in Casa Grande is Caywood Farms which is a family-owned cotton and alfalfa farm. While there you can view equipment demonstrations and there are also plenty of hands-on activities. The Casa Grande Valley Historical Society is also an awesome place to visit and learn about the history of the region. The museum provides plenty of educational experiences that are suitable for the entire family. Picacho Peak State Park is also worth checking out because it provides you the opportunity to explore the area’s unique geology. Here you can also enjoy several amazing vistas of the desert landscape. Not far away from Picacho is the Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch where you will find large African birds and many other adorable furry critters. The ranch also offers fun interactive activities and you can also feed and pet the animals!
