Phoenix is located only 40 minutes away, so you can always travel to the city if you are looking for something to do. However, Surprise offers plenty of unique amenities and activities that will allow you and your family to spend your days having fun all the time. For example, there is the popular Truman Ranch where you can go to pick the fruit of your choice from a multitude of trees and enjoy all of the fun attractions at the ranch. The Surprise Aquatic Center is also an awesome place to visit if it’s hot outside you’re looking to cool off. The large outdoor swimming area features pools, diving boards, and slides as well as a zero-depth area for small children. Surprise is also home to the award-winning Tennis & Racquet Complex where world-renowned tennis players travel to compete in tournaments and exhibition matches. The Litchfield Park Wildlife World Zoo is located about 10 minutes away from Surprise and it is home to over 3000 animals of which there are 600 different species.
